My roomie and I had dinner here last night. I’ve heard this place was pretty tasty and I’m happy to say it was “Just that” I had the She crab Soup to start; my main course was the Filet Mignon with a loaded baked potato and a side salad. My roommate had the Salmon w/ rosemary and peppered topping and the alfredo pasta. He started off with the Potato soup. Both soups were pretty good and my steak was cooked to perfection. There croissants are really delicious and flaky. The service was great. I’m looking forward to my next visit. – YelpAllen S., Greenville, SC
California Dreaming has been around for a long long time, and there is a reason for their longevity. The food is good, they give you a good portion of it, and it’s competitively priced. I have frequented California Dreaming here and in other locations for going on 20 years. My most recent visit for lunch is pretty much par for the course for any meal I have there. I started with the California Dreaming salad which has plenty of meat, cheese, and almonds to make you forget it’s a salad. I always get the house hot and cold dressing (honey mustard / warm bacon) because it is delicious. And of course, the warm croissant with honey butter on top makes it even better. Now that’s a meal for most folks, but I eat about half and take the other half home. Why? Because I’ve GOT to have those chicken strips. It’s been my favorite dish of theirs since my first trip to California Dreaming. I don’t know what’s in the marinade they use, but the chicken is tasty inside and out. Toss in some fries on the side and it doesn’t get any better.
If you’re of a mind, the baked potato soup is incredible too. But so long as they keep making those salads and those chicken strips, I’ll keep going back to California Dreaming. – Trip AdvisorNeer D., Greenville, SC
